and Summer makes three...
Kennywood ad. I don't think my summer (or any summer) is complete unless one visits an amusement park of their liking. Right now, though, there are no plans to complete my summer. Should fix that.
It is said that you don't know how much you miss a thing until you don't have it anymore. Well, I realized this week that my daily life lacks a lot of silence. I realized this because I now work in a library , and it's verdi silent there. Most of the time, anyway - sometimes i forget to desensitize the books that people check out and the alarm goes off when they leave. If someone is annoying, I'll do it just to spite them but usually it's just me being forgetful. Although taht alarm is a fun thing to use just for fun's sake.
Yeah - silence is golden, they say. For a musician like myself, it (silence) could be a great way to spend the summer. Granted not every day is spent in silence but I'd say generally speaking it'll be pretty durn quiet compared to a normal day in Ashland. Music speaks, sure.. but if nothing speaks, there is no sound... no sound = silence. The lack of sound is what I'm listening to all day, and it's that lack, that emptiness, that draws me back to sound, to motion, to music. You feel more energized (usually) after sitting still, out of our own will mind you, for 15 minutes than if you would spend that time doing jumping jacks. Same with music (listening and performing), you always do it and it gets old etc.. But take it away, and the lack of "something" is there - don't realize it until it's gone.
but music, like a good friendship, goes on forever.
you can forget it's there, pay no attention to it, and it'll still be there waiting for you when you get back.
that's why I want a dog.

Yea... remember when summer used to be cool? lol..
And you know, I just noticed that in your post addressing the lack of cake or lack of talk-of-cake, you called me "Rackle". And you have no idea how cool that is...
I know it's in my screen name... but, lol... it's just funny to hear or see people use it... ever.
Anyway. Uh.. see ya. Since you're not alive...
