A Real Eye-Opener for Voters

Since I can't vote this coming election (six days!) I decided I would say something that needs to be said.

But first, a story.

I came home from band and I started reading the Steubenville Register and there was an article about the differences of the candidates' stances (Bush/Kerry) on some of the more important Catholic issues. I'll quote some of it here:

George W. Bush: (GWB) promoted and signed the Partial-BIrth Abortion Ban act into law.
John Kerry (JK) voted against the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act every chance he got, which was six times.

FYI: The partial-birth abortion procedure--used from the fifth month of pregnancy on-- involves (I kid you not) PULLING A LIVING BABY FEET-FIRST out of the womb, except for the head, PUNCTURING THE SKULL and SUCTIONING OUT THE BRAIN WHILE THE CHILD STILL LIVES. The great majority of partial-birth abortions are performed on healthy babies and healthy mothers.

Disgusting, isn't it? I started crying when I read that. No lie.

I've always heard about the partial-birth abortions and such but never knew what they were. Think about it: you're killing innocent lives! It's the same thing as if you were in a holdup at a bank and a teller got shot for doing absolutely nothing. An innocent life: gone. In the blink of an eye without deciding anything. With abortion and partial-birth abortion, there is a choice whether to kill an unborn child or not.

YET people still do this EVERY DAY!
Amazing.

Food for thought:
GWB: has repeatedly supported legislation which would protect unborn children and people with disabilities. JK, during his 20 years in the Senate, voted a whopping 79 times to support abortion.

GWB signed "Laci and Conner's Law," which recognizes as victims unborn children who are kiled or injured in violent federal crimes.
JK voted against the act.

GWB supported legislation to prrevent minor daughters from being taken across state lines for secret abortions in order to avoid parental notice laws.
JK voted against notifying a parent before performing an abortion on a minor daughter.

Yeah, but GET THIS:

GWB stated that he will appoint Supreme Court justices who share his conservative philosophy and who will strictly interpert the Constitution according to its text. (The text of the Constitution clearly contains no right to abortion.)
JK, however, has stated that if elected president he would appoint only Supreme Court justices who support the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion on demand. He declared..."I will support only pro-choice judges to the Supreme Court. Some may call this a litmus test...."

Yeah. Mind-boggling.

Just think about it. If you have to, read over the partial-birth abortion part again. See if that alone doesn't change your minds.

True that.

Abortion, any type of it, is the worst infringement of human rights that I can think of. The so-called "right to choose" is a lie that takes the lives of thousands of children EVERY DAY. That's not a choice.

Right you are.

you people need to stop worrying about the boys in the womb and start worrying about our boys in Iraq

you silly silly people. how can god be for killing babies and not for killing our own soldiers that are already alive.

or is it the other way around?

a life is a life
a death is a death lets worry about the lives we have out there and try to prevent the deaths that are unneccessary before we start worrying about the lives we can prevent from ever even happening in the first place.

Market-Mouro said...

and another thing

if you people put half the effort into spreading contraceptive knowledge as you did professing against abortions

you would have much fewer abortions to worry about.

I agree with Mo and Chris and would like to respond to Jorgey about the boys and girls on Iraq. It's sad that we're losing so many of them over there, but they're over there by their choices. If they didn't want to fight for our country and our countries beliefs, then they wouldn't have signed up to be in the armed forces. The children killed in abortion don't have a choice in the matter. Since the 70's over 40 million children have been aborted. Thats over a million a year. In the year-ish that we've been in Iraq, how many have we lost? A little over a 1000. Couple zeroes difference there...

"you people need to stop worrying about the boys in the womb and start worrying about our boys in Iraq"

Well, if we don't care about the 'boys in the womb', soon enough there won't BE any boys to send OVER to the boys in Iraq.

Think about that.

Also, this comment: "try to prevent the deaths that are unneccessary"

So, you're calling abortion necessary? Interesting.

Market-Mouro said...

i believe you people are completely missing the point.

when clinton was president and the economy was in good shape, there was 50% fewer abortions than in the reagan and bush years.

if people cant support a child, yes it becomes neccesary to abort a fetus. which isnt a human and cant survive by itself

as for partial birth, it is a procedure that is normally only done in order to save the life of the mother.

you stupid stupid people. you dont know when lifge begins but you think you know when life ends.

a fetus is not a human it is a bunch of cells that cannot survive on it own.

if you god lovers believe in this shite so much why is it that god kills feti all the time and you people dont seem to care.

you know there are spontaneous abortions that occur naturally.

againt prevent pregnancy and you prevent abortion it is that simple.

its legal and it should remain legal.

if you were raped would you want to keep that child?

if you were sick and couldnt survive would you want to risk your life?

you too are a creature of god people

but the quicker you realize there is no god the sooner you can make a real difference on earth.

bush is a human killer

a woman walking into an abortion clinic has many reasons that are none of your business to be making that choice

pro-choice does not make you pro abortion

yet pro life means i have to believe everything you say.

this is a democracy and we have a choice

Chris said...

"this is a democracy and we have a choice"

Right. A woman, for instance, has a choice not to open her legs if she doesn't want a child.

That's my viewpoint on that.

"if people cant support a child, yes it becomes neccesary to abort a fetus. which isnt a human and cant survive by itself"

Ever hear of adoption? It's a wonderful invention and service to couples who want children but for one reason or another cannot have them.

Oh, and a fetus isn't a human, huh? So what is it, a dog?

Chris said...

"pro-choice does not make you pro abortion"

Pro-choice: the words say it right there! "I am anti-life" is another way to say pro-choice.

"yet pro life means i have to believe everything you say."

No, pro-life means that I support every different living individual from CONCEPTION TO NATURAL DEATH.
Conception being the moment the sperm enters the egg cell and technically begins human life.

Take this as an example:
If someone handed you a gun and said "Kill Tim over there for me, please" would you do it? I'm asking you this because you have a CHOICE whether to kill him or not. Same thing with abortion, only people make excuses to kill the humans that they don't want when it is mistakenly understood that they are not humans, that they are expendable, and that they are not alive.

Which is all wrong.

"but the quicker you realize there is no god the sooner you can make a real difference on earth."

President Bush: a strong man in faith no matter what political party you hail from. He initiated a war in Afghanistan that changed the lives of the citizens there forever by giving them democracy. What are they doing now? Holding civilized, democractic elections in their new free country. As are the people in Iraq soon.

To me, that's a "real difference".

Oh and BTW, look for me in about twenty years in the music world making a "real difference". Guess what: I'll still be Catholic.

Kudos to Servant of the Servants of God ^_^

Ever stop to think that what we do to these fetuses, if we did this to animals we'd be arrested for animal cruelty? And yet we allow it to happen to people all around us.

When a woman is pregnant, science tells us that the new life she carries is a complete and fully new human being from the moment of fertilization. By the time most abortions can be performed, the baby already has a beating heart and identifiable brain waves. The baby living in her mother is as distinct and unique a new person/human being as you are from me, and as deserving of protection under the law as we are.

The baby every mother carries as she faces a life and death decision has a beating heart at 18 days after fertilization and brain waves as early as six weeks after fertilization. Most abortions are not performed until nine weeks of the pregnancy. Even RU 486 chemical abortions can't be done until after six weeks.
Not alive? I don't think so...

And to your other claim: Women have cited 'social reasons' , not mother's health or rape/incest as their motivation in approximately 93% of all abortions.

i pose this question to all of you.

if a woman decides to have an abortion (say she was raped) do you think she should go to jail?

or do you think the doctor should go to jail?

as for jesus and god and the bible.

i would rather believe in something that can be proven by the scientific method to be true.

a fetus cannot sustain itself and brain waves and heart beats at that stage of embryonic development are just chemical reactions that are meaningless.

do you remember being in the womb? do you remember any thoughts you were having back then?

of course not because you werent fully functional nor would you be if you were to be plucked out of the womb at that point.

as for the people in iraq and afghanistan. first of all, we went to afghanistan to get osama bin laden

not to make them free. freedom was a byproduct in that war. and i am happy to say that i supported that war and still do.

iraq was a supposed threat to our national security. all lies of course now that the facts are in.

a recent estimate by johns hopkins stated that up to 100,000 people have died there thanks to us.

that makes bush just as bad as saddam when he killed 60,000 peole with gas.

as for deaths in the world and injustice. you all need to realize waht is happening in sudan where 20,000 people die weekly. young children are being raped

and furthermore. if it wasnt for the church damning women for having children out of wedlock there wouldnt be thousands of women dying of complications of self imposed abortions.

clinton wasnt the one who quoted those numbers independint study groups reported those numbers. clinton just lied about a blow job.

which again the church is against.

the social reaasons women quote as their primary reason for abortions are all due to the church and god lovers imposing those social conditions on women.

wake up and smell the science. if it were up to you people condoms wouldnt even be allowed and the world's population would only have aids to control it.

god will not save you. you need to save yourself.

"a fetus cannot sustain itself and brain waves and heart beats at that stage of embryonic development are just chemical reactions that are meaningless."

Just found this. It really struck a chord with me.

And so Jorgey, you are now saying that life is meaningless with the above statement. By saying a fetus' (which is alive, you said it yourself, he/she is developing) reactions and its developmental process is meaningless, you are there by saying life is meaningless, because what the processes that are going on during this stage is creating a full-blown human being, if you take my meaning.
