Being humble? no. Honesty works better. Even if it sounds like being humble, it's not.
I'm not the most wonderful person in the world - don't expect me to be that all the time. I'm not. It is not (yet) possible for me to be so. Being promoted to lieutenant then lieutenant commander on a starship is ag reat thing; to be asked to be captain that next stardate is not an amazing thing... get used to some bearings first.
Don't think I dont have nads, either - i got 'em. and i just used 'em.
