It's been in my head all freaking morning, since around 7 when I got up to go to mass.
What really ticked me off at mass today (which nothing usually does since it is mass, after all) was that since I was up in the choir loft, Fr. Jim has to count how many are there and I suppose he miscounted or just forgot to put an extra one in because when the eucharistic minister got up there, I was standing there waiting after everyone had recieved Communion and she just said "I'm sorry, Chris, there aren't any left."
Well golly gee whiz. Make me come here and play this shtupid organ and what do I get? A sore back.
No, not really. I asked my mom if it was bad that I didn't recieve communion at mass and she said no, but I still felt kinda guilty about it. But still, what could I do? I guess you could say I took one for the team.... ???
Whatever.
So anyway today les Steelers de Pittsburgh play against .... another team. Charlie's not on for me to check his info and see which team they're playing. That's ok.
Speaking of playing, I've AGAIN been enlisted to play at yet another Christmas mass, I think. The only thing different about this is that I'm not in charge.. (which reminds me I have to call Sr. Myra Jean) I think I'm just playing the organ for... Christmas Day mass at 10am, with the regular 8:30 choir. Hopefully everything will go swimmingly and I'll get to recieve the Eucharist.... :P
Oh well. So I have that, and then the children's Christmas Eve mass at like 4 or something.. still need music for that!
I should charge for all of this stuff since it is taking time off of my holiday season and it's beginning to bug me how people just assume I'm going to do something for them. I know it's nice and all to do things for people and I usually (all the time) do them without complaint, I guess my mother weaned me of complaint at a very young age... blib.
BUT seriously! What if I have something else to do? Huh? What then?
Oh who cares.
